Before I record a new YouTube video, I follow this simple 6-step process:
1. Viewer's Attention (Hook)
Grab their attention in the first 15–30 seconds. Start with an intriguing statement, a bold question, or a quick preview of the value-packed content you’re about to deliver.
Pro Tip: Open loops work wonders. Say, “Stick around because I’m saving the best tip for last.”
2. Instant Credibility
Establish why viewers should listen to you—but do it quickly and naturally.
Example: “I’ve helped thousands of creators build profitable YouTube channels, and today, I’m sharing my exact blueprint.”
3. Deliver Content (Value)
Stick to the promise of your title and give viewers actionable insights or steps they can implement immediately. Make it clear, concise, and engaging.
Pro Tip: Use visuals, bullet points, or animations to break down complex ideas.
4. Entice with Lead Magnet
Offer something free and valuable to your viewers that relates to the video topic. This helps you build your email list while providing extra value.
Example: “Want my free YouTube Video Planner? Grab it using the link in the description.”
5. Offer Them to Subscribe
Don’t forget the magic words: “Subscribe to my channel.” Make it personal and encouraging.
Example: “If this is helpful, hit subscribe and turn on notifications so you don’t miss any future tips!”
6. Suggest Next Video (End Screen)
Keep the momentum going by pointing viewers to their next step: another video on your channel. Use an end screen link and tell them exactly why they’ll want to watch.
